Ar Hyd y Nos - All through the Night

Elizabeth Taylor All Through The Nightgown 4

02 Textiles latest exhibition "Ar Hyd y Nos (All through the Night) takes its inspiration from small samples of Welsh quilts. Each member has chosen a piece of quilt and focused on colour, pattern, or quilting techniques as a starting point. While adhering closely to the night time theme, the group has diversified widely in its interpretation and subject matter. You will find moon gazing Hares, startled foxes, sleeping tramps, dreaming children, comfort blankets, vintage beds of roses, snuggled bed bugs, hooting owls and floating nighties - everything beneath the moon and the stars.

The exhibition runs from May 10th to July 2nd 2016

About O2 Textiles

02 Textiles (or Over The Top) was formed in Essex in 2002. The main aim if the group is to bring colour and fun into the world of textile art without compromising on skill and diversity. OTT aims to produce a new exhibition at least once every two years. Beginning with an exhibition at Braintree Town Hall in 2004, OTT has proceeds to exhibit at Cottenham in Cambridgeshire, Southwold and Snape Maltings in Suffolk, and Hyde Hall , the Royal Horticultural Society Gardens in Essex. In 2012 OTT was invited to exhibit at the prestigious National Knitting and Stitching shows in London, Dublin and Harrogate. It's exhibition "Curiouser and Curiouser and curiouser" was very well received in all three venues and a large proportion of the work was sold. OTT's latest exhibition "The Plot Thickens" was held at Hyde Hall (RHS Gardens) Essex in September 2015 moving on to Snape Maltings in Suffolk in April 2016.
