Dolau Canol has been beautifully restored by husband and wife team of conservation architect Roger Clive-Powell and antique textile expert Jen Jones. Inside, the house is beautifully furnished and, of course, features lots of textiles and quilts. The house, set in its own acre and surrounded by farm land a third of a mile off the road, is very secluded. With excellent central heating and a log stove, it also makes a wonderful winter retreat. Dolau Canol sleeps six in two double bedrooms and two single bedrooms. It has a separate bathroom upstairs and a WC/shower room downstairs and there is generous living space. Jen Jones’ famous antique quilt shop is at the other end of the lane and Lampeter with the Jen Jones Welsh Quilt Centre is five miles up the road. For fishermen there is private fishing on the River Teifi, just a field away |
