Our Current Exhibition in the Second Gallery:

'19th Century 'Gritty' Welsh Blankets'
From Jen Jones Private Collection

On display are some wonderful examples of 19th century narrow loom blankets, including chequerboard double weaves, bold vertical stripes, a tapestry blanket from the Esgair Moel mill (formerly of Llanwrtyd Powys, now rebuilt in St Fagans, The Museum of Welsh Life) and Commemorative 'Quilts'.
Whilst these blankets were made for everyday use in the home, they now, alongside the quilts, form an important part of the wonderful visual Welsh heritage

Runs to the end of October
